Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, now known as ‘Padmavat’ created many controversies last year. Enough controversies to get it delayed by one month!
The lead actors of the film received death threats, the director was mauled by the mob, and many protests took an ugly turn. But finally, the sun is now shining in Bhansali’s life, ‘Padmavat’ will see the light of theatres on 25th January.
Rumors of ‘Padmavat’ going through 300 cuts were doing rounds, but CBFC has now put an end to it. There have been no 300 cuts in the movie, just 5 modifications!
CBFC’s chairperson Prasoon Joshi said, “The makers have submitted the final film with agreed five modifications which have already been communicated and a U/A certificate has been given to the film. CBFC’s process is complete and any further news about cuts is absolutely untrue. Let’s refrain from utilizing CBFC’s name unnecessarily.”
The film stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
