Death On The Set Of Rajinikanth’s Next Film Kaala

Superstar Rajinikanth is a very strict and smart actor. He always knows how to balance work and relaxation in order to get the best results.

This is exactly the way he is currently working on his next big film, Kaala. This film is about a character named Karikalan. This character is an aged gangster who fights for people’s rights in Dharavi.

This isn’t a new role for Rajinikanth, but he always finds something new to add every time. To ensure the authenticity of the experience, part of the shooting is happening in Mumbai.

The other part will take place on a massive multi stage se that are being created at the EVP Studios in Poonamalle, Chennai. These sets will be worth upwards of Rs 5 crore.

It was during one of these prep and shooting schedules, when Michael, a worker met with a fatal accident. According to sources, he stepped on an electric wire and got severely shocked and injured.

Although his co-workers immediately rushed him to the nearest hospital, he unfortunately couldn’t be saved. The police are still investigating the case, just to make sure it was truly an unintentional accident.

We don’t know if the shooting will be stopped on account for the investigation. If it does, then it will be a bad blow to Rajinikanth fan, who are already saddened by the delay in the release of Robot 2.0.

More delays like this won’t hopefully dampen the excitement for Kaala. A movie that boasts an ensemble cast of Rajinikanth, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani, Nana Patekar, Pankaj Tripathi and several others.

What do you think of this accident? Do you think this will help promote better safety standards on movie sets? Should there be an on site medical team on every movie set just in case something like this happens? Tell us your views in the comments.
