When the news of Salman Khan’s return to the small screen with Dus Ka Dum season 3 after 9 years surfaced, fans went gaga over it. They couldn’t wait to see whether the show would live up to their expectations or not. The makers promised more fun and authenticity of the answers this year. However, Salman’s charm and jokes were not enough to save the show and it failed to generate the numbers that were highly required by the channel.

The show has now been shifted to a new time slot. The reality game show, which earlier aired on Mondays and Tuesdays will now be airing on weekends. Some other changes have also been made to make it more entertaining and to gain back the popularity.

A source close to Dus Ka Dum told a leading daily, “Dus Ka Dum will be shifting to the weekend slot and shall air at 9:30 PM. Initially, the makers had considered Mondays and Tuesdays to be ideal for the show but post the low numbers, the show is set to air on the weekends. They realized that their audience was not available at the earlier time slot and days, and hence took the important decision.” On the other hand, according to the reports published in another tabloid, the show will also have a new name and will be called Dus Ka Dumdaar Weekend.

The show will only feature celebs instead of commoners as participants. A source from the sets revealed to the same, “The first to shoot for the celebrity episodes were Salman’s longtime friend, (composer-actor) Himesh Reshammiya and singer Guru Randhawa, who was also a part of his tour. Followed by TV actress and Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde, who was up against Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Karan Patel.”

Recently, in the episode of Shilpa and Karan, South superstar Kamal Haasan graced the show for some time to promote his upcoming movie, Vishwaroopam 2. The pictures from the sets went viral and we guess that yes it will be fun to watch the celebs in it. Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati will replace this show.
