Stree – Shraddha Kapoor – Rajkummar Rao

This horror-comedy is one of Bollywood’s finest to watch on a lazy afternoon. Based on the Indian urban legend where a woman used to roam around a town at night, knocking at doors and hunting the men who answer. Rajkummar Rao plays Vicky, a ladies tailor who gets completely smitten by a mysterious woman, played by Shraddha Kapoor, who his friends fear to be Stree, the witch who is on a hunt.



Padmaavat – Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh – Shahid Kapoor

It is for sure one of the most controversial Bollywood films, which made its way to the theatres after a long delay. Loosely based on the epic poem Padmaavat by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, it stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, a Rajput queen known for her beauty, wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor. Sultan Alauddin Khilji, played by Ranveer Singh, hears of her beauty and attacks her kingdom to claim her.



Raazi – Alia Bhatt – Vicky Kaushal

If you are a fan of spy stories, well then you’ll just love this film. And it has all the chills and thrills that too with the old time’s charm. The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel Calling Sehmat, a true account of an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who, upon her father’s order, is married into a Pakistani family of military officials to relay information to India. 



Swades – Shah Rukh Khan – Gayatri Joshi

This is a gem film of Shah Rukh Khan which received critical acclaim and it’ll make you be proud of your roots. It is based on the true-life story of a Non-resident Indian man who returns to his homeland. Shah Rukh Khan and Gayatri Joshi played the lead roles in the film.



Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Salman Khan – Kareena Kapoor – Nawauddin Siddiqui

Any festival is incomplete without a Salman Khan film, and this film just sets you up in the festive mood. Salman Khan plays Bajrangi, an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, who embarks on taking a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl, separated in India from her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan.
